It maybe weird to write an ode to a flower, but this summer I couldn’t have loved my zinnias more. I planted them through seed and watching the vibrant blooms multiply on the little garden plots I cared for in my front yard was a treasure all season, while bees and butterflies buzzed around daily. By August they were over 5 feet tall and by September some were over 6 feet!
I was able to capture the flowers from buds to blooms to frost. We had our frost yesterday so they are now officially yard waste and I hated to see them go. See you next season, zinnias, you will be definitely getting a larger plot of land next year.
